  • Bakewell

    Bakewell is the gem of the Peak District, the treasure in Derbyshire's chest. With its glorious character cottages and wonderful old buildings, the architecture alone is definitely worth a visit to look at if you're here for a day trip or lucky enough to be staying longer.

  • Winster

    The very pretty village of Winster lies in the Derbyshire Peak District, between Matlock and Bakewell. Today it’s a peaceful, idyllic place, but in the mid 18th Century it was one of the largest and most prosperous towns in the county.

  • Youlgrave

    It is one of the larger villages in the Derbyshire Dales district and its' narrow streets and assortment of old buildings give it much character. Once a centre for lead mining for over 200 years, its' magnificent church with splendid tower reflect the prosperity of those days.

  • Ashford in the Water

    Ashford-in-the-Water is a village and civil parish in the Derbyshire Peak District, England. The village is on the River Wye, 2 miles north-west of Bakewell. It is known for the quarrying of Ashford Black Marble, and for the maidens' garlands made to mark the deaths of virgins in the village until 1801.

  • Tideswell

    Tideswell is now best known for its 14th-century parish church, the Church of St John the Baptist, known as the "Cathedral of the Peak", which contains three 15th-century misericords

  • Matlock Bath

    The town is still a wonderful place to visit, with a long street of shops, cafes, amusement arcades and places of interest, including an aquarium and photographic museum. The riverside walks are great for peaceful, shady strolls, and there is a good children's playground area to keep younger visitors amused.

  • Buxton

    People have been coming to this small town in the hills to take the rejuvenating thermal waters for millennia so it's not surprising that it is still one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Peak District today.

  • Castleton

    With their fascinating rock formations, rare stones and amazing atmospheres, the caverns and caves around Castleton are very unique places to visit. Plus, they are a great option for a Peak District rainy day activity as you are underground where the weather doesn't matter!

  • Ashbourne

    Ashbourne is rich in history, with one of the finest streets of Georgian buildings in Derbyshire. The cobbled market place, hidden alleys and yards, make Ashbourne a delight to explore. With an abundance of places to visit in the town and beautiful surrounding countryside there is something for everyone.
